Occam Global Places First Independent Board Member of Mammoth Biosciences

In April 2025, Occam Global recruited Bob D. Brown, PhD, to the Board of CRISPR pioneer Mammoth Biosciences, founded by Nobel laureate Jennifer Doudna, Trevor Martin, Janice Chen, and Lucas Harrington. Brown served as the Chief Scientific Officer of Dicerna Pharmaceuticals from 2008 to 2023; Dicerna was acquired by Novo Nordisk in 2021 for $3.3B. He joined Dicerna after a long career at Genta, where he was Vice President of Research and Technology and accumulated over 75 issued patents and patent applications. Prior to joining Genta, he was a co-founder and Vice President of Research and Development at Oasis Biosciences.

Brown holds a PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of California, Berkeley, and a dual BS in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Washington.
