Occam Places CEO Shakti Narayan, JD, PhD for Oncology Biotech Accent Therapeutics
In September 2019, Occam recruited Shakti Narayan, JD, PhD, as Chief Executive Officer of Accent Therapeutics. Narayan is a highly accomplished and very evolved biotech strategy and business development leader with a long suit in oncology.
Narayan most recently served as the Chief Business Officer at Tango Therapeutics, where he was responsible for finance, business development, and operational functions. While at Tango, he led a partnership with Gilead Sciences valued at $1.7 billion, which proved transformational. Prior to his work at Tango, Narayan was the VP and Head of Transactions at Johnson & Johnson Innovation, where he helped establish J&J's Innovation Centers model and led oncology business development. Narayan began his biotech career in business development at Genentech.
