Danielle Belgrave joins GSK from Google DeepMind where she was a team lead and created the health portfolio within the deep learning division, leveraging machine learning to accelerate scientific discovery. Prior to DeepMind, she led a series of successful research collaborations in digital health and clinical practice. Her experience spans both academia and industry, where she led richly interdisciplinary teams at Microsoft Research and Imperial College London. Her research focuses on employing machine learning to understand disease heterogeneity and identify personalized intervention strategies through close collaboration with clinical domain experts.
Her impressive education includes a PhD in statistics and machine learning from the University of Manchester, an MSc in statistics from University College London, and a background in applied mathematics from The London School of Economics and Political Science.
