Occam Recruits Laurent Fischer as Chair of NovalGen
Occam Global, an executive search and leadership advisory firm specializing in life sciences and deep technology, today announces the placement of Laurent Fischer, MD, as Chairman of NovalGen, a UK-based clinical-stage biotechnology company developing next-generation multispecific biologics and immunotherapies.
Fischer brings more than three decades of leadership experience in drug development across such advanced fields as gene therapy and immuno-oncology, with a track record of building and scaling innovative companies through pivotal stages of growth, financing, and strategic transactions.
Most recently, Fischer served as President and CEO of Adverum Biotechnologies, which he sold to Lilly. Previously, he led Tobira Therapeutics through its IPO and subsequent acquisition by Allergan. He has also held senior leadership and board roles at multiple biotechnology companies, including Shinobi, CTI BioPharma, Mirum Pharmaceuticals, Lycia Therapeutics, and atai Life Sciences.
