Silicon Valley Leader Placed by Occam Global as CTO of Chemify

In February 2025, Occam Global, a leading technology executive search firm, placed Michael Bell as CTO of Chemify. Chemify is a Glasgow-based deep-tech company integrating chemistry, robotics, and AI at scale to digitally discover, design, and fabricate new molecules with applications across a variety of major industry segments, including energy, pharmaceuticals, and advanced materials.

Bell is a renowned technology veteran. During his more than 15 years at Apple, Bell led multiple divisions as Vice President, enhancing the company’s software and hardware capabilities while overseeing the development and launch of iconic products such as the iMac computer and iPhone. Prior to Apple, Bell served as SVP of Digital at Lucid Motors, CTO of Rivian Automotive, CEO of Silver Spring Networks - which Intel purchased in 2017 for nearly $1B - VP of Mobile at Intel, and SVP of Product Development at Palm.
