In January 2026, Occam Global, an executive search leader in advanced technology, placed Zachary Karl, PhD, as Vice President of Business Development at Glasgow-based Chemify Limited, a deep tech company pioneering digital chemistry and automated molecular discovery.
Karl joins Chemify to drive strategic growth across the pharmaceutical, biotech, industrial chemicals, energy, agriculture, and broader life sciences sectors. He brings more than a decade of experience in global scientific industries, having held senior roles at companies including eXoZymes and Ginkgo Bioworks.
Zachary earned his BS in Pre-Medicine and Microbiology from Wittenberg University and his PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Purdue University.
