Help Charm's founder, Laksh Aithani, recruit a Chairman. This individual would tangibly serve as a mentor to a youthful first time CEO, but also transmit powerful optics to potential investors.
The Solution
Occam delivered a compelling solution in Gary Glick. Glick, President and CEO of Odyssey Therapeutics, is a formidable chemist and serial biotech entrepreneur in his own right. Gary has founded several successful companies, including Scorpion and IFM Therapeutics. While CEO of IFM, the company progressed three programs from ideation to clinical development and executed several major deals, including the sale of oncology assets to Bristol-Myers Squibb in a transaction valued more than $2.5B.
Thus, Gary brought substance and celebrity to the table for Charm. This recruitment represented a powerful step in helping Laksh complete a $50M A round from top flight investors in F-Prime and OrbiMed.
